Strength United has served the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys for more than 30 years, supporting the most vulnerable members of our community at critical moments in their lives, and providing hope, leadership, and resources in our community to address violence and abuse at the root.

Through a groundbreaking multidisciplinary approach, Strength United serves thousands of children and adults annually, free of charge. We provide 24/7 confidential support and response, and help survivors of violence and abuse navigate the often-confusing array of different jurisdictions, departments, and service providers. Strength United brings service partners including law enforcement, medical professionals, counselors, legal aid, and more together in one location, creating an experience that favors the needs of the survivor, rather than an often-hostile system. We need your support to help the children, adults, and families we serve live abuse-free lives

In 2019, more than 2,000 children and nearly 2,700 adults received direct services, including 262 families and more than 300 Foster Youth. Our hotline responded to 1,100 calls, and our Prevention Education services reach nearly 45,000 individuals! Our Prevention and Education efforts include community mobilization throughout the region, youth leadership development, and a wide variety of trainings and workshops, as well as CSUN’s Campus Care Advocates. Will you be part of the Strength United team by making a gift today that will help change thousands of lives this year?

CSUN’s students and faculty are an integral part of Strength United. Each year, almost 200 undergraduate and graduate CSUN students shadow experts in the fields of mental health, social service, child development and law enforcement. They get critical field experience and training in providing trauma-informed care. Your gift allows these students to not only provide services to Strength United’s clients today, but helps us to develop the experts and community leaders who will provide these essential, life-changing services in the future.

By donating to Strength United, you will:

  • help end abuse and violence in our community
  • provide a child the individual attention and counseling they need to recover from violent or sexual abuse;
  • ensure that a sexual assault survivor has an advocate who will stay with them throughout the process of reporting assault, receiving treatment, and seeking justice;
  • help families learn parenting skills that will help them to stay together through a crisis;
  • and be part of our advocy for public policies that keep children and families safe.

Please consider donating to Strength United today, and join us in empowering survivors of abuse and violence, and creating a safer, more resilient community for us all.
