Designing Practical Solutions to Complex Problems
Awarding the best of the best in engineering and computer science.
Give to Senior Design Project Showcase Fund
After a grueling year of work calculated to more than 400 hours, Juliana Bermudez was ready to present her team’s Ultra-Violet Digital Light Bioprinter. The 3D bioprinter was used to create a precise placement of cell-laden hydrogels (cells that resemble our body’s tissues) in a layer-by-layer fashion. For Juliana and her team, it was the pinnacle of their college careers. Capturing the winning project at the Senior Design Project Showcase in the oral presentation category was the icing on the cake.
The Senior Design Project Showcase is a half-day event for engineering and computer science students to display their capstone projects and compete for prizes in front of a panel of distinguished judges from industry. The showcase allows students to demonstrate mastery of their disciplines, apply practical solutions to real-world problems, and successfully communicate their ideas and solutions. Often, students take their projects to national and international competitions.
Funding for this high-profile, signature event helps defray event costs, including prize money awarded, student travel to national competitions and materials used for projects. Your support allows students to take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it to real-world solutions.
