From the big screen to the small screen, the computer screen and everything in between, the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication (MCCAMC) sparks the imagination of its students in six departments and more than 30 specialization options. Ranked in the top 30 film schools in the world by Variety and top 25 music schools in the United States by The Hollywood Reporter, the MCCAMC prepares its students to make a meaningful impact on Los Angeles and the world as artists, scholars and communicators. It accomplishes this with small class size, the latest technologies and faculty with vast industry credentials.

To maintain its commitment to experiential teaching, interdisciplinary collaborations and deep engagement with the entertainment industry, the MCCAMC must remain relevant and competitive. The Dean’s Fund allows the dean to be a pacesetter, staying ahead of evolving needs and pursuing new initiatives as they arise. It enables the dean to invest in highly effective programs for students, like the student-run creative agency, Intersect LA; the student-run news outlet The Sundial and its nationally recognized, award-winning newscast on KCSN radio, to name a few.

In an era of dwindling state funds, it has become increasingly necessary to seek private investments from alumni and business partners to help the university and the college sustain its high academic standards. Gifts to the Dean’s Fund may support student scholarships, recruiting and retaining superb faculty, new academic and student enrichment programs or experiences, and the ability to fund Visiting Artist Programs.

The world needs storytellers. Your gift creates them.
