CSUN Baseball: Light up the Valley

The Future Is Bright for Matador Baseball

Lights at Matador Field help not only the university, but the community.

Give to the CSUN Baseball

The excitement around Matador Baseball is at a fever pitch with the hire of veteran Head Coach Eddie Cornejo, who brings his proven record of success to Matador Field. The future of Matador baseball is bright, but imagine how much brighter it can be if lights were added, enabling evening play and the ability to host postseason contests.

Introducing lights at Matador Field isn’t just good for the university, it’s good for the community as well. Through our youth program, CSUN baseball players work with the community to introduce young athletes to university-level play and help build their confidence, social and motor skills, patience, time-management abilities and encourage teamwork. Lighting allows CSUN to expand after-school programming and introduce more youth from underserved communities to a college campus experience through baseball.

The next level of Matador baseball requires an exceptional facility to match the commitment the team has shown its community and fans. Light up the Valley with stadium lights and help create a family-friendly atmosphere for cheering on Matador Baseball evening games. Your gift will positively impact future generations of baseball players, including youth in the communities served by CSUN and its student-athletes.
