The Certificated Lactation Educator (CLE) Training is a Lactation Education Accreditation and Approval Review Committee (LEAARC) Recognized Breastfeeding Course. The objective of this training is to provide participants with the content knowledge and skills needed to educate breastfeeding families in the community from the time of pregnancy through the perinatal period. Individuals completing this course will receive a certificate of course completion enabling them to call themselves certificated lactation educators (CLE). Individuals will also receive continuing education units and satisfy 45 of the 95-hours of lactation education, including 5 hours focused on communication skills, required to qualify for the certification exam individuals must pass to earn the designation of International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

This training is fully online and self-paced over six weeks. While the participant may complete it at their own pace, all training assignments, quizzes, and the exit exam must be completed by August 11, 2024.

Participants will be added to CANVAS site on June 18, 2024 so that they have ample time to orient themselves to CANVAS.

Cancellation Policy:

We reserve the right to reschedule training, if necessary. Every effort will be made to notify the participants of a canceled training. Fees paid may be applied to an alternate training, or a 100 percent refund will be issued. Please allow four to six weeks to receive a refund.
A full refund will be granted if the training is canceled. The full registration fee will be refunded for withdrawal requests made 30 days before the training begins. A 50% refund will be refunded for withdrawal requests made 29 -15 days before first day of the training. No refunds are available 14 days or less before the first day of the training.
