The Certificated Prenatal Lactation Educator Training is a Lactation Education Accreditation and Approval Review Committee (LEAARC) Recognized Breastfeeding Course. The objective of this training is to provide participants with the content knowledge and skills needed to educate breastfeeding families in the community from the time of pregnancy through the perinatal period. Individuals completing this course will receive a certificate of course completion, which allows them to use the designation of Certificated Prenatal Lactation Educator. Individuals will also receive continuing education units and satisfy 45 of the 95-hour lactation education requirement to qualify for the certification exam administered by the International Board of Lactation Consultants Examiners.

This is a fast-paced training with required assignments due on specific dates throughout the training. To ensure that participants have the time to complete all required assignments, each registered participant will be given access to all training material 2 weeks prior to the first live zoom session (preparation week 1 and 2).
