The Comprehensive Lactation Education Training provides participants with the content knowledge and skills needed to educate breastfeeding families in the community from the time of pregnancy through weaning. Individuals completing this course will satisfy the 95-hour lactation education requirement (including 2 hours focused on WHO code and 5 hours focused on communication skills) to qualify for the certification exam administered by the International Board of Lactation Consultants Examiners; receive continuing education units and a certificate of course completion, which allows them to use the designation of Certificated Prenatal Lactation Educator.

This is a fast-paced training with required assignments due on specific dates throughout the training. To ensure that participants have the time to complete all required assignments, each registered participant will be given access to all training material 2 weeks prior to the first live zoom session (preparation week 1 and 2).
